20 talented authors, chosen both by invitation from the public station and through Free Song Submission, will compete for the title, in the semifinals of the Festival da Canção on February 24th and March 2nd.

The competition will culminate in an exciting final, on March 9th, from which the winner will emerge and will represent Portugal in the 58th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest, which takes place in Malmo, Sweden, in May.
